Juice Boxes...Hallelujah

I'm still learning how to determine what is a facebook post and what I should put on the blog.  I felt like this was blog worthy...No pics this time, but I just couldn't contain my excitement.

For those of you with children..in daycare...you can relate.

As you know, Valentine's day is quickly approaching, which means Valentine's Party at school.  Parties at school are always fun!  It's a fun day, you eat a bunch of junk, and then have party detox the next day.  While MH has been in school (since she was 10 weeks old, so basically her whole life), we have had plenty of school parties.  There is always a list on the outside of the door for you to sign your offspring up for items to bring.  For those of you who really know me, you know I am going to be late for my own funeral; therefore, I am always pulling into the daycare on 2 wheels, jerking out MH and hauling tail to get to work by 8:15.  By us always being late, the list has been posted since 7 AM and every kid has signed up for something......EXCEPT MH.  And guess what is the ONLY thing left on the list???  Treat bags.  Yep, treat bags.  For 12 2 year olds who seem to be just as spoiled as what MH is.

Things changed this year folks.....The list was posted late in the afternoon which meant JUICE BOXES WERE STILL ON THE LIST!  I have always dreamt of having to bring just juice boxes.  I even told one teacher that if she would just put MH's name on juice boxes before the list was distributed, I would throw in a 24 pack of cokes!  Just for them!!!

I am so excited to bring juice boxes next week, I can hardly stand it!  Hallelujah!

And Happy Valentines Day!!

  1. Love this! We are having our first Valentines Party on Tuesday - and I got a letter home the other day telling me who I could make the cards out to, and thanks for contributing. I was like hmm... wonder what I am susposed to bring! So I see the famous door list, and get so excited that PLATES are on there! 10 one year olds, and 3 teachers! I can find 13 plates, heck, I have 13 glass plates they can have! So I go to leave and the mom who came in after me was smart and signed up before she dropped her kid off, and she took plates!!!!!!!!! So - I got the next best thing, a box of crackers! I feel horrible for the people who have to bring fruit, cheese, etc. etc.... your blog just made me laugh after a HORRIBLE day, THANK YOU! Horrible day because, did you know that certain insurances do not cover 'lost' medicine? Yeah - like if you drop a glass bottle on the floor, they won't cover it. :)
